Jim Graham, Global Compressor Engineering, Delphi Product & Service Solutions

“Up and coming compressor technologies”

Jim Graham began his engineering career in 1970 at the University of Dayton Research Institute and then joined the Delco Moraine division of General Motors as a test technician in the Brake Systems Lab. In 1981 he transferred to GM’s Delco Air Conditioning division with responsibility for noise analysis of compressor applications.

In 1984 he transferred to GM’s Harrison Radiator division, assuming the responsibility of developing tests for validation of the division’s thermal products. After moving to Harrison’s International Systems Engineering Group, he held various assignments as Product Development and Engineering Liaison. Now, as  Global Compressor Engineering manager – Thermal Products in Delphi’s Product & Service Solutions division, Jim is responsible for the validation and release of A/C compressors to the global independent aftermarket.

It’s not  an overstatement to say Jim Graham knows his stuff. Describing his upcoming presentation in Orlando, he said, “There have been quite a few changes in compressor technologies over the last several years. These changes have, and will continue to, affect they way customer air conditioning issues are resolved. This class will explain a few of the different type of compressor technologies, why they were developed and how they function.

“These explanations are intended to help you diagnose and correct problems more quickly thus saving you time and, of course, money. We will also be able discuss real world cases with other technicians that may help you in the future.”

When having your mobile A/C system professionally serviced, insist on proper repair procedures and quality replacement parts. Insist on recovery and recycling so that refrigerant can be reused and not released into the atmosphere.
