If the staff of the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide each had a dollar for every time we answer the question, “how do I replace my Section 609 credentials?” We would not need to contribute to our weekly lottery pool anymore!
MACS has certified almost one million service technicians since 1991. MACS maintains databases that contain every certification record for MACS and the IMACA organization since the beginning of the Section 609 certification testing program. Technicians
who wish to repalce their credentials, can do so for a $10 fee. The fee covers printing, postage and staff time.
Credentials may be ordered and paid for by credit card over the phone by calling 215/631-7020 x 0 or technicians can visit this link on the MACS website and follow the instructions for downloading a form and ordering replacement Section 609 credentials by mail or fax.
Technicians should make sure they have a copy of their certification record in a safe place. Currently, Section 609 credentials are good for life.
The Mobile Air Conditioning Society’s blog has been honored as the best business to business blog in the Automotive Aftermarket by the Automotive Communications Awards and the Car Care Council Women’s Board!
